We are aware of a recent publication by Thisday Newspaper and several other news blogs stating that our university along with eight others have been sanctioned by the Council for Legal Education for admitting students prior to receiving full accreditation. We want to clarify the following:

Till date, the university has not received any formal communication from the Council for Legal Education regarding any specific sanction imposed on our institution.

Our law programme is intact and current students may not be affected by such sanctions. It is worthy of note that the publication on Thisday newspaper did not imply that the Council has withheld accreditation and approval of our law programme.

We understand that this news may be concerning to our students and their families as well as stakeholders. Please be assured that the university remains committed to the highest standards of legal education and to ensuring that your degrees and certificates remain valid and respected. Our priority remains delivering quality education and securing the future of our students.

We encourage our students, staff, and stakeholders to remain calm and await further updates directly from the university.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.

Signed,

Management
