Admission Requirements at Western Delta University

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective students should meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. O'Level Qualifications:

    • Obtain a credit pass in at least five relevant Ordinary Level subjects.
    • Achieve this in not more than two sittings.
    • The specific subject combination depends on the chosen program.

  2. UTME or Advanced Level Qualifications:

    • Have attempted the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
    • Alternatively, possess other Advanced Level Qualifications qualifying for Direct Entry.

  3. UTME Score:

    • Candidates applying through the UTME route should have obtained a UTME score equal to or above the national average for the respective academic session.

Postgraduate Admissions Process

Prospective students applying to postgraduate programs are not required to apply through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The Admissions Office oversees all admissions, ensuring a seamless process for prospective students.

Deferment Policy

Conditions for Deferment: Students seeking to defer their admission must submit a written notice to the school. Deferment will be granted if certain conditions stipulated by management are met. Each deferment request is carefully reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Withdrawal Notice

To facilitate efficient enrollment management, students are required to provide the Admissions Office with at least one month's written notice of withdrawal. Failure to provide the stipulated notice will result in the school withholding references or transcripts for the student. WDU reserves the right to withdraw a registered student if there is a material breach of the code of conduct.

Important Note: Admission Status

Undergraduate Admissions are approved by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Only candidates who are dully approved by JAMB are eligible for admission into undergraduate programmes at Western Delta University.
